Film Evaluation: Illusions (1982)

The film wasn’t released until 1982 however it was set during the 1940s in Hollywood. The over all plot was very well thought out, how the overall illusion was the discrimination and unaccredited talent the African American woman had. The characterization was very good as well, the main white woman character progressed to show her indifference feelings towards the film industry because of their discrimination and seemingly illusions. The film was in black and white because of the time setting it had. They were dressed in 1940s outfits and hairstyles. Overall, for the oldness of the movie it was pretty good however, there was some awkward parts. There was some awkward voices overlapping and sometimes the voices were muffled out by other sounds of the movie, both making it harder to hear. There was often choppy and awkward transitions from one scene to the next. The soundtrack was the best part, the old music was very good and when the songs were playing there was one scene there was an overlapping in pictures and it was very well done. During the songs of this movie, the cinematography was very well done.

Paper Mate Flair Markers

I love school/office supplies. So when I saw these markers on the shelf in the aisle, I had to get them. They were in packs of many different colors and I figured I could use them to color-code my planner and agendas. At first, they worked very effectively and I was very excited about my purchase but it has been 2 months into the school year and three out of the five original colors barely work. The orange marker just leaks onto my fingers and stains them for the rest of the day. The green only works if I shake it in between each use. The pink markers operates if I press down the marker very hard against the paper. My overall review is that they were pretty expensive for markers because of their brand but they did not last as nearly as long as I expected them to.

Five Star notebooks

As a current high school senior and upcoming freshman in college, I use notebooks for just about everything. In the beginning of the school year I would get one notebook for each subject I have. I am enrolled in DE and AP classes and I will get the multiple subject Five Star notebooks for those classes. They not only have different subjects with small folder like dividers for loose papers, but they have plenty of space for notes, ideas, brainstorming, and even doodles. It works as a notebook as well as a folder, a 2-in-1. I have used Five Star notebooks for their quality and efficiency since the 6th grade. They aren’t only good for school notes though, they can be used for just about anything. Five star is a good brand with a good reputation.

Jansport backpacks

For my first review I figured I chose something that I use daily for years now. The first thing that came to mind was my Jansport backpack that I have owned for the past 4 years. The backpack is still in great condition despite the stress I have put it through. It has a lot of space for all my gigantic books and binders and computer that I fit into it. It has different compartments for all my pencils and pens. Not only does it function incredibly well but Jansport backpacks also come in many different designs. I choose a white backpack with blue flowers. Now, because it is white, it does get dirty but a simple throw in the washing machine will fix that issue. All in all, I highly suggest that you use the Jansport backpack for your school backpack. There isn’t even another backpack brand that even comes to my mind besides Jansport.
